Elephants In The Room – Elephant Artist Relief Society FUNraiser at the Blues Can

Join EAR on April 20th at he Blues Can to support EAR programming. The event will feature The Camie Leard Band, The Characters of Brenda Fox, a magician and more! EAR will be auctioning off lots of great prizes and there will be fun all around!

They have also partnered with Let’s Roam and Adventures from Scratch as well as other great organizations to offer a silent auction during the event. Come hEAR live bands, grab a beverage and enjoy the show, all while supporting artists in the community.

Elephant Artist Relief Society (EAR) is a registered charity that offers practical resources to creative professionals in the Calgary region. The society provides financial and career supports that emphasize community well being and promotes artists’ livelihoods.

EAR was formed when a group came together to help a fellow artist with a medical crisis in 2007. The event created awareness of how vulnerable artists are when struck with an unexpected hardship and identified the absence of urgent supports for the creative community. By forming a society the group established a last resort relief fund to meet this broader need. In this way, the organization provides a unique service, which is not duplicated by any other agency.
